Meet the founder
Nicole
Strother
Nicole Strother is a mother, author of a forthcoming book on motherhood, and the founder of I AM A MOTHER. After losing her own mother at 10 and being raised by her grandmother and a community of women who stepped in, Nicole knows firsthand what it means to need a village — and to find one.
She created I AM A MOTHER as a lifestyle brand that honors the full identity, strength and lived experience of mothers. When she moved across the country, her own village became harder to reach — and since the pandemic, she's been reshaping it from where she is now. Through intimate conversations, shared resources and the forthcoming I AM A MOTHER Conference, Nicole is rebuilding that village — a space where mothers feel seen, supported and reminded that they are more than enough.
